About the Conference

The focus of the conference is on drivers that reshape the global landscape of work and learning, as well as on business competence necessary to emerge as co-creators of this global landscape. Global connectivity, smart machines, and new media are just some of the drivers reshaping how we think, learn and work. New technologies and social media platforms are driving an unprecedented reorganization of how organizations produce and create value. In our highly globally connected and interdependent world, the rules of the game change, new challenges emerge as well as new opportunities.

With new learning and collaborative platforms, with resources embedded in social connections, people can grow business competence quicker and deeper than ever before. As organizers, we strongly believe that entrepreneurship is a key competence which will play an increasing role in answering to current and future global business challenges.

This conference and forum will bring together research insights and professional expertise on the critical business competence needed to be productive contributors to the future, as individuals and as organizations. We believe that we have yet much to learn from each other and we hope that the November meeting in Cracow will spark lively discussions and foster productive exchange between academics and business professionals.

We are very honoured to host Prof. Wojciech Czakon from Jagiellonian University and Prof. Aviv Shoham from Haifa Univesrity as keynote speakers. We will hold two excellent panel sessions with experienced panellist who will share their take on the conference themes.

During the first half of the day parallel academic tracks will be held to introduce our participants to current research findings relevant to the conference aim.

The afternoon parallel tracks are workshop sessions devoted to promoting newest approaches to upgrading business competence.

There will be plenty of opportunity to interact, meet and talk, as new professional relationships is the core value  of the forum. The highlight of the day will surely be our evening event: gala dinner at downtown Cracow providing opportunity for further networking.

We thus invite you cordially to the magical city of Cracow for our BizMOOC conference and academia-business forum!
